11/29/18 DESTINED FOR GREATNESS

11/29/18 DESTINED FOR GREATNESS

Throughout life I have refused to be the victim.

If or when I go down, I intend to go down in triumph, victory, as conqueror.

I AM DESTINED TO BE

TRIUMPHANT
2 Corinthians 2:14-16

14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
15 For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
16 To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?

VICTORIOUS
1 Corinthians 15:51-58

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

1 John 5:3-5
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

MORE THAN A CONQUEROR
Romans 8:35-39

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

GOING DOWN?

In my post, I mentioned the possibility that I may, "go down." That does not mean "going down in defeat," it meant if I go down in death. If the rapture takes place, I intend to GO UP.

I have tried to be the husband, the parent, the pastor, the grandparent that leads his people into victory and conquest. If we focus on this world, we will not live life on the Highest Plane.

If we are encumbered with the affairs of this life, we will not soar above the mediocrity of mere worldlings. Folks sing about this kind of victory, but few folks live this level of spirituality. When we live it, we give witness to it. Our words will either help lift us or they will drag us down.

This is the desire of a husband for his wife, a father for his children, a pastor for his parishioners. This is the will of God for all of us.

The more of a team that catches the vision, the more likely the team is of winning, and the more likely that others will catch the vision, the spirit, the hunger.
