Words are the boxcars which carry your thoughts.
Choose your language and vocabulary very carefully and be precise.
The Bible tells us, "JESUS is the word." Jesus is the word of God. Yes, He is the Son of God and also God the Son. He is the God Man. He is God with us. He is part of the Godhead. But this is not a study of the nature of Jesus.
This is to point out that Jesus is recognized and introduced by the Holy Spirit as being the thoughts of God made flesh (manifest, physical) and He dwelt among us. If we want to know who God is we must know God's thoughts, God's word, God's Son, Jesus. Jesus is God's most perfect representation. Everything we need to know about God is revealed in Jesus Christ. The Bible is God's witness of Himself to us.
Our words convey our thoughts. We must not be controlled by language and vocabulary. We must master our words and our thoughts by bringing every thought into the captivity of Christ.
This is why human languages transform societies. This is why euphemisms and double speak lead people astray. This contributes to why the use of vulgarities, profanity, obscenity, liable, distortion, gossip, deceit are all dangerous. They are all ways of taking charge of our thinking, our minds, and thereby taking charge of our lives.

THE BACKGROUND AND MY REASON
BACKGROUND
This area is presently called THE POND. I believe it use to be a small canal, which was enlarged, then used as a salt water pool, with a large raft, diving area, concessions and other amenities. I believe it was called Beach Sound Pool. Lots of people enjoyed swimming, socializing and playing there. I did from time to time (though I have to admit I was more of a beach side guy).
REASON
Martha had something to do at her office one evening, so I went with her. The sunset was beautiful. I chose this photo for my cover photo because it shows a boat, beautiful water, an empty boat slip and a setting sun.
I think of the sun setting on our society and it is time for Christians (fishers of men) to launch out, while they still have the opportunity. The waters will not always be this calm.
