12/21/18 BLESSED BY MEANINGFUL MUSIC

12/21/18 BLESSED BY MEANINGFUL MUSIC.

TAKE NOTE... 4 MUSIC VIDEO LINKS IN THIS POST.
don't miss them

I looked for a good, traditional, hymn style of, "Nothing Between My Soul and the Savior," on YouTube. I did find some that were done well, but I was looking for the traditional sound. I also found several that were performed by cults, fallen (homosexual) ministry singers, different arrangements, different lyrics. But finding the whole package was at least difficult, if not impossible.

I think a song should be sung in the same way a sermon ought to be preached; from the heart, not just the head and vocal chords. I also think that it should be sung in the Spirit of truth (when the life and doctrine are in agreement with the message of the song). I am not saying it is not out there or that it cannot be found, I am just saying that it is difficult to find a good song with all of the components I want in a song. I will post something, and hope that you will get a special blessing.

I have included three videos for NOTHING BETWEEN (written by, and explained why below. Just click on the links one at a time. This will bring up SAFEYOUTUBE tab. You can remove the tab when you finish listening. If you do x them out, you can replay them by clicking the links again.

I have also included another song, UPPER WINDOW, by Evangelist, Paul Quales. This song addresses the fact that God is available to us when we go through strong trials. Good message.

I hope you realize that the words to this song are accurate and can be true in your life.

#1 Evangelists, brother Quales (Nazarene Church) sings only one verse, but he does more than sing the words, he conveys his own commitment.

#2 Pastor Rick Jones sings several verses (with the words displayed on the video screen). I hope you will take the time to receive the message of these words.

#3 Music Minister, Josh Lavender (Wesleyan Church) wrote other words to this same basic song, and they are printed on screen. He does a very nice job composing, arranging and singing this variation of the song. This is a more contemporary style. I do not usually like "updating" old hymns, because the meaning is often lost in the change. However, this is well done. This does not replace the traditional, but it does provide another side to the song.
