08/15/18 REAL MEN LEAD THEIR FAMILIES
This post is not about gun ownership and physical violence, it is about honesty and true heroism.
I often hear people say that they will protect their families and beliefs from all wicked oppressors, whether another individual or the State, and then they fall in line with social and government attacks on their families and faith.
I am glad those people do not resort to physical violence, since the wrath of man does not accomplish the righteousness of God. This does not negate the fact that legitimate governments have the power of the sword to protect the righteous and punish the wicked.
However, shooting off your mouth and then assisting the oppressor shows lack of strength and courage.
We cannot ultimately stop social decay in this world. But we can and should fight against spiritual darkness, regardless the cost. If the supposed commitment and energy of mouth shooters was put into spiritual battles, we would at least protect our families and stay the enemy for a period of time. Christ and His people do win and eventually overthrows all wickedness. But until then we must follow Christ in resisting the devil into lives of ease, and popularity, and financial gain. Paul said,
"Stand fast in the faith, be a man (be brave), be strong."
People in general, and men in particular, have given lip service to families, while selling-them-out by neglecting their God given leadership role of following Christ.
Answer God's call, lead your families, charge the gates of hell, know and grow in the knowledge and will and service of Christ.
Do not surrender your families into sin and Satan's power. Get saved and filled with the Spirit of God, join God's any, take up the cross, follow Christ into battle.
You only have one life to do it.
