05/08/18 NAMES IN A BOWL
If you knew that you or a loved one would not be here next week, what would you be sure to do this week?
TRY THIS
Put the names of family members or very close friends who live nearby, in a bowl. Take out one name this week. Now tell all your loved ones on the list that you are inviting loved ones to come to worship or Bible study, over the next several weeks (or months) and you are hoping that they will be willing to come with you, when you ask them Of course, it probably won't hurt your feelings if they come before you pull their name.
I know this is weird, but then again, consider who is suggesting it. I am not claiming this is a word from the Lord, but I don't think God will banish anyone for using this approach as a tool to reach loved ones who are not attending church at the present time. It might even appeal to some of your loved ones (and it might repel others). In other words, it is a good excuse to do what you want to do anyway.
And by the way, I knew when I said it that some of you do not have friends who live in a bowl. But do the best you can anyway.
