07/03/18 MY RELIGION IS CHRISTIANITY, MY SAVIOR IS CHRIST
If your religion is Christianity, your religion won't save you, because no religion saves.
Only a living faith in Christ saves.
JESUS, not RELIGION, saves us from sin and eternal separation from God.
Religion is system of beliefs concerning (G)god and the form of worship and service rendered to that G(g)od. Even Bible believing, born again, Spirit filled Christians have religion. But it is possible to believe intellectually the same thing as a true follower of Christ, and still be lost, because the faith that saves is more than intellectual and emotional assent to a religious system.
It is possible to be Roman Catholic, Methodist, Lutheran, Anglican, Baptist, Pentecostal or another stripe of those who follow a "Christian" church, and still not be saved.
A person MUST realize he/she has sinned and deserves eternal separation from God, and MUST believe that Christ provides salvation form rebellion and punishment and MUST turn from sin (repent), MUST trust in His death and resurrection (faith), MUST confess their sins to God and MUST confess Christ as their Lord and Savior, and MUST Jesus and continued to walk in the way He leads, in order to be saved.
Religion does not save.
Jesus saves.
We are saved by grace, through faith.
