The pagan Constantine sanctioned (contrary to N.T.) Christian violence; followed by Roman Catholicism, and Reformers who killed Christians.
KILLING IN THE NAME OF JESUS?
The Pope and Rome killed Protestants.
Reformers like Calvin, Luther, Zwingli, killed Catholics, made war with each other and executed them publicly because they did not agree with their beliefs.
AND THEY KILLED BIBLE BELIEVING, PEACE LOVING, UNARMED Christians (sometimes because the "other" Christians re-baptized people after those people came to faith in Christ).
This was all part of corrupting the Bible faith of the New Testament.
As a result, Christians have been falsely led to believe that Christians take up arms to kill other people.
Also, those misled, misinformed and errant Christians accuse Bible believing, non-violent Christians of various sins and crimes.
Come back to Biblical faith and beliefs. It is not easy or free. There is a cost in following peace with all men. It could be only ridicule, or it could be oppression and hatred, or it could be loss of family and freedom.
