SHARING THE BLESSINGS
As any other believer, I want to share with others the good news that I know.
All Christians want others to know that Jesus died for them and that God will forgive whosoever will call on the name of the Lord.
I also want others to know...
Christ cleanses from all sin through the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
Christ makes us more than conquerors over sin in our daily lives.
The Holy Spirit inhabits, enables, empowers us so that we ALWAYS CAUSES US TO TRIUMPH.
We can love others with PERFECT LOVE.
I also want others to know that the New Testament calls us (and enable and empowers us) to be PEACEMAKERS through personal non-violence (not to be confused with pacifism).
I want others to know that the New Testament forbids physical violence by believers.
I want others to know that the New Testament never commends a believer for an act of physical violence.
I want others to know that the New Testament condemns physical violence by believers.
I want others to know that there is not one New Testament example of a believer being physically violent, with God's approval.
I want others to know that God has a plan for protection and punishment, but it is not the work of believers.
I want others to know that we should not trust in the arm of flesh, trust in chariots and horses, trust in men or the systems of men, BUT RATHER TRUST IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD GOD.
I want others to know that the New Testament Church and the Early Church accepted, understood and practiced non-violence in obedience to the teachings of Christ and the Apostles.
I want others to know that I understand that New Testament non-violence may be totally foreign and new in their thinking, but that does not mean that it is wrong.
