06/11/18 CHOOSE YOUR MODEL CAREFULLY

Don't follow these: Lucifer, Eve, Adam, Cain, Lamech, godless society, Noah's generation, Ham, Nimrod, Babel builders, Canaan.

SIN ABOUNDED
These people (including the Prince of Angels, Lucifer, who led a rebellion against God, and became Satan) are among the earliest people who chose to rebel against God. Each one of these people added a particular and unique dimension to human corruption. Certain traits of rebellion are common to all rebels, though there may be different manifestations of the same sins.

Lucifer was filled with pride.
Eve was deceived. She was led astray because of the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye and the pride of life.
Adam, aside from being deceived, was led astray by the same attractions as Eve.
Cain was self righteous, jealous, angry.
Lamech was lustful, proud, angry, self serving.
Godless society and Noah's generation were the result of the children of the righteous (sons of God), foolishly and wantonly intermarrying with the unrighteous children of the unrighteous (daughters of men) and the entire human race was polluted beyond redemption, other than Enoch, and Noah. (Do not follow the pagan interpretation that there was a mixing of fallen angels and human females. The Biblical account refutes such fantasy).
Ham openly dishonored and disrespected his father because he had personal issues of pride and disobedience.
Nimrod was a powerful, self oriented, manipulating infidel. He was dedicated building his own societies, based on his own worldview.
The inhabitants of early Babel were self serving infidels, who chose to turn their attention to astrology rather than obey the God of Creation.
Canaan and his descendants continued to move further from the creator God and developed their idolatry to a lower level.
These are the founding fathers of a falling race.
One of the recurring themes was that of broken family ties and perpetrators of family disputes

There were few examples of righteousness in the early years of mankind. But Able, Seth, Enoch and Noah are men worthy of our admiration and our imitation.
