06/12/18 NOT SELF SERVING
Sometimes (while I am preaching) I sit down, look up to where I should be standing, and give myself an "AMEN."
AMEN.
Thank you B.... You are right, it is good to get encouragement, whoever we are (including me).
I happen to be a person who does not worry about or seek verbal support during my preaching (much like your own beloved pastor, who preaches for God's approval and not man's approval. Then I show up and lose composure during his great preaching, hehehe).
But when I say something (written or verbal), that really touches me ('cause sometimes I get it from the Lord in a way that catches me off guard), then I respond with an "amen," in the same way I would with another preacher.
In thinking about this comment, I have some thoughts I will share in another post. See what happens when someone encourages me? hehehe
