01/05/18 IF YOU CAN GET PAST THE FIRST PARAGRAPH, YOU MIGHT FIND A BLESSING
(but be aware, the first paragraph is important)
The problem with dealing with a false narrative is that there is no end to a false narrative because when a false narrative is dealt with it spawns other false narratives, therefore if the proponent of the false narrative does not turn from his false narrative you either have to continue to deal with other false narratives or stop dealing with the false narrative and focus on the truth, in hopes that person teaching the false narrative will see the truth and then turn from his false narrative.
And, BTW, a false narrative can be the mote of controversy that blinds someone to the expansive, deep and glorious truths of salvation. People can be so focused on details that they miss the message of God. For instance, when the law of love (the Royal Law, the Law of Liberty, the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus) is preached, the false narratives and accusations of legalism, judgmentalism, faulty interpretation, linguistics, context, culture, scholarship and expertise re-routes the conversation, the study, the message to manmade views. (No, I am not denying that these are real concerns. I am saying that false narrative based on these issues often sidetrack people from the actual message of God).
I can say something like, "God always causeth us in triumph in Christ," and then all of a sudden, before I can even explain or expound on this great truth, there are people telling me why I am wrong. I AM NOT WRONG. It is God's word, not mine. Yes, there are other aspects and there are other truths, but there are no truths that contradict this passage. And though there is a time to consider and even examine the other truths, Satan does not want this truth to be heard or heeded, therefore he turns the attention to division and failure instead of the mighty saving hand of Christ.
