One of the greatest heartaches
(for parents and pastors)
is when people shut out or refuse,
rather than seek or accept,
Biblical counsel.
God has given His word, trained His pastors, enlightened godly parents, equipped faithful servants to teach, lead, counsel, encourage, reprove, rebuke and perfect younger believers.
What a shame that all that God puts into those old saints is ignored or rebuffed by hardheaded, self sufficient, pride blinded younger people.
The costly lessons of life are passed by when younger folks ignore or ridicule those who have followed God through the struggles of life into victory and wisdom.
