NO, I CAN'T DO GOD'S PART, but I must do mine.
I have written an article that addresses the fact that God requires human response, obedience, cooperation in salvation. God does not need our help, but God is just and God is wise and God is true. He has sovereignly decided for man to have freedom of will to sin or to repent. God enables humans to act freely in choosing or refusing salvation.
Likewise, after salvation, God still requires human response, obedience and cooperation in bringing believers to the fullness of the Holy Spirit. God demands certain standards, God requires human participation, God enables obedience.
This new article will focus on the passages, where God requires believers to purify themselves. To purify ourselves simply means to do the things within our power that separates us from sin and separates us to God.
We are able to stop certain behavior and we are able to initiate and pursue certain behavior. THOSE ARE THE THINGS THAT GOD REQUIRES. Those are the steps of obedient faith that align us with God's will and prepare us to receive God's purifying work.
