Some of you may not have seen the latest arkeeolahgikle discovery. It seems that a scroll, entitled, "The (finally found, but never really) Lost Book of the Bible (Experts)" has been recovered. It is a compilation of very intellectually based articles confronting and questioning the teaching of Jesus and the New Testament writers.
Through these brilliant critics we find out that the teachings of Jesus and the New Testament writings were poorly framed ideas that failed to convey the actual meaning that God had intended.
There are several chapters confronting and correcting Jesus and Paul and Peter and James and John about their erroneous and misleading teaching that promoted "legalistic" keeping of the law, as well as their promoting the heretical idea that God actually enables people to obey His commandments.
It is awe inspiring to read from these scholars as they point out the errors of love, holiness, total surrender, the purifying work of the blood of Christ and the Holy Spirit, and the word of God.
It is liberating to know that we cannot be liberated from the power of sin in this present evil world.
It is enlightening to know that grace makes God blind to sin, rather than actually transforms sinners into saints.
It is encouraging to discover that we do not have to please God or follow Christ fully or die to self or deny ourselves or sacrifice our own comfort and pleasure for the good of the sorry sinners that God does not care about anyway.
However, in spite of this new light and insight into the mind of God, there will still be some hard headed, narrow, legalistic, judgmental, self righteous people who call themselves Christians (like dlg) who will persist in teaching and preaching that the blood and the resurrection of Christ and the power and presence of the Holy Spirit and the revelation of the Holy Bible, completely delivers from sin, leads into righteousness, secures victory through faith, transforms sinners into the holy priesthood of believers.
Be aware that uninformed and uneducated Charlotans (or Morehead-ers for that matter) are still deceiving the simple. Don't be misled by those people who say that the Bible means what it is says. Knowledgeable men know that God deliberately hid his truth in the Bible and only reveals it to those of us who are smart enough to follow other smart men who also saw beyond the camouflage of clear words revelation.
