Perfect love is not man made or man designed love. Perfect love is loving God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength, and loving your neighbor as yourself.
Perfect love is obedient to God, even when it is inconvenient or uncomfortable, even when it is demanding and requires us to do the seemingly unloving thing.
Perfect love does not exchange the rule of God for the agenda of man.
Perfect love does not try to get ourselves or someone into the kingdom of God by some other way than that which God has decreed.
Perfect love does not turn from those who love and follow the word of God to those who have brought division, false accusation, suffering to others.
God revealed, demonstrated and explained the meaning of Perfect Love in His word. Still, the verses which address Perfect Love are part of a context and are not to be understood separate from the whole revelation of God. Even so, there are people who will use God's word as a weapon against God's truth.
We need to let God break our hearts, tear down our resistance to love and truth, even to understand His truth about love.
